i am writing a drama script and need reasons for 'why you wouldn't you get something cliche for valentines day?

what can a girl get a guy for valentines day?
i know this is a bit out of date, seeing that it is march, but i am just curious. because guys can give their girlfriends flowers, jewelery, candy ect, but what can a girl give to her boyfriend, other than a card or something.
